This small house is sited on 2 acres south of Houston with clear views to the eastern and southern skies and limited light pollution for the Owner's telescope. The house is separate from the garage in order to capture a small court between the two volumes and allows the garage to act as a privacy and sun screen for the house. The current investigation involves researching different structural systems to develop a house that is protected from flooding and hurricanes.
